Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Monument 10

I thought this would be a good photo to post last because if you look through the Cross Sabers in the background you can see the Baath Party Headquarters Building that I stood on top of to take that first picture.

  • Which monument is this? And you have any idea of when it was built? It's really a beutiful view.

  • Thank you for everything that you are doing for me and my family over there...

  • Sorry Cookie Smart I added some more information at the begining of my posts about the monument.

  • Interesting pictures but they kinda give me the "creeps". Wanted to let you know how very proud we are of you and what you are doing for our country and for US in the U.S. You are in my prayers often ...continous prayer of a hedge of protection around you and a safe return home. How about if I promise to make you some "real" doughnuts you do make it back home in time for Christmas? I will start adding that request to my prayers for you! Stay safe and God Bless you and all of the troops over there. You know whose mom!

  • Hi Luke, I have just been doing some much needed "catching up" on your blog. My home computer has been down since a storm June 8th. I have had it worked on but still down. So, I am using time at work to check on YOU.
I agree with Clay - George Foreman - grill. You keep yourself safe and God Bless! a Gayla

  • Hey Soldier! I wanted to say hi quick- my brother is in Baghdad too. He recently sent me a picture of him standing next to this monument. I was just googling to see what info I could find about it. Your web page came up! Be safe- =)Irene
